Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT trailer hitch receiver. Before we get into that, let's just take a minute though, we'll check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right setup for you. So right off the bat, probably one of my favorite things about this hitch is the fact that it's going to sit behind the bumper, which is going to allow you to take the panel and reinstall it whenever you're not using the hitch. And so it's gonna be super clean and look factory, which kind of brings me to my next point. If you've never removed this panel, probably not a bad idea to check behind there and make sure you don't have the hitch already from the factory 'cause believe it or not, we do see that from time to time. more

And if you plan on doing that, I highly recommend installing a wiring harness on the back of your Jeep so that you can safely get those lights powered on your trailer. Being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening is gonna be a great option because when choosing ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have a ton of different options, as this is kind of the standard size for those. Now, all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip, which is not included with the hitch, but many times when choosing accessories, they'll come with one. So that's something to look for. Now, if you wanna get a locking pin and clip, that's a great option if you plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle because when locked in place, no one's gonna be able to just walk by and take the accessories. Our plate-style safety chain loops are gonna be great for hooking up your safety chains when towing a trailer. more

Now, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed, and this is a exposed cross tube, meaning you can see a good majority of the hitch, or at least the beam that attaches up to the frame. And normally, that's something that I I'm not exactly a huge fan on passenger vehicles, but it generally does give you a higher weight capacity, and that's definitely the case in this one. And on a Jeep, I think as a utilitarian look, it actually looks pretty cool on here. So I don't think it takes away from the looks at all. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver on a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on the Gladiator and it is an exposed cross tube meaning you are gonna see a large portion of the hitch below the bumper and normally on a passenger vehicle or something along those lines. I'm not a huge fan of these because it kind of detracts away from the look of the vehicle, but on a Jeep it actually pulls it off pretty well and another bonus of having that exposed cross tube generally means that you're gonna get a little bit higher weight capacities and this one is no different. Now this being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening means that you have a ton of accessories available for it. So whether you're looking at bike racks, cargo carriers or ball mounts, you're gonna have plenty to choose from. And we have plenty of options here at etrailer. more

etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Jeep Cherokee- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Jeep Cherokee. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Cherokee and it is gonna be a hidden cross tube and that's nice because you're not gonna be able to really see anything except for the receiver opening of the hitch, giving you a nice clean OEM look, but all the usability of your hitch, and this one is a 2"x2" receiver tube opening, so you're gonna have tons of options for ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, or honestly any accessory that you may load up here. 2"x2" is a nice one to find a bunch. All of your accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now, the hitch does not come with one. A lot of times the accessories that you pick up will have one, but if you wanna pick up a locking version, those are really nice because you can leave your accessories in place, lock it in and know that no one's gonna be able to just walk away with those. more

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and we're gonna show you how to install the Curt Class III two inch by two inch hitch receiver. The Jeep Wrangler's already gonna be a very versatile vehicle with the roof racks available for it, the rear cargo space inside, but adding a hitch receiver is gonna give you the capability to carry bikes to a trail, to carry a cargo carrier if you have any extra cargo on trips that you need to carry, or if you need to tow a small trailer. This hitch is gonna feature a two inch by two inch hitch receiver opening, which is going to give you a lot of options to be able to fit accessories onto your hitch. The hitch pin hole is gonna be a standard 5/8 inch hitch pin. This hitch is a exposed cross tube meaning you're gonna see pretty much the whole portion of the hitch, but honestly on a Jeep it kind of pulls it off well and it also has a matte black powder coat finish so it's a little bit more subtle than a typical gloss black. Now this is a two inch by two inch, which is gonna be great. It's kind of the standard size for a bunch of different accessories. So if you're picking up a ball mount, cargo carrier or bike rack, this is gonna be the size to really open up the options. And when you have your accessories in place you're gonna be using a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Now this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed and you're probably going, well, where is it And that's the great part about the Stealth Hitch it's completely hidden until you're ready to hook up your accessories and then you just simply pop this into place. Now this is going to be used for just accessories. You're not gonna be able to put a ball mount on here because this is not designed for towing. If you plan on towing with a Stealth Hitch you need to make sure to pick up the towing package that will have a ball that actually pops into place rather than the receiver. But it's also gonna come with this for your bike racks and cargo carriers. more
